Dates to remember

April 5 — Recital Tickets Go On Sale

April 29 - May 3rd — Picture Week (Schedule Released in March) @ AKA Main Studio

May 18 — Dress Rehearsal (Schedule Released in March) @ St. Cloud High School

May 19 — Recital @ St. Cloud High School

    • Dancers need to arrive 15-30 minutes before their estimated start time. See the schedule for more information.

    • Dancers must bring all of their costumes on a hanger with their dance shoes and accessories inside the garment bag. Any additional costumes will be hung in your dancer’s assigned dressing rooms. Please arrive fully dressed in your first costume. Luminary dancers will have all of their costumes with them.

    • Please label your child’s belongings with their name to prevent mix-ups while changing.

    • This is the only time you are allowed to video record or take pictures. Please be aware of others while recording.

    • Dancers must arrive between 1:45 - 2:00 PM for check-in and the AKA warm up! Parents will be allowed to enter the theater at 30 minutes prior to show time. Please drop-off your dancer fully dressed in their first costume at the side door. All additional costumes and bags will be hung in the dancer’s assigned dressing room. Please remember, only volunteers will be permitted backstage. Each parent will receive a wristband to match with their dancer at pickup.

      • NO soda, chocolate, messy snacks or activities are allowed backstage. We will have water, non-messy snacks, coloring pages & a livestream of the show.

    • The lobby is open to all 45 minutes prior to the show.

    • Tickets are $35 at the door. Please purchase your tickets ahead of time!

    • Our shows are made up of 3 Acts - For the Stage, Festival Life & Stadium Royalty. Dancers will be backstage for the entire show. “Generations Dance” participants will be called back during the intermission before their act. Adult dancers will be allowed to sit in the auditorium after their dance is finalized, provided they purchased a ticket.

    • Concessions will be sold in-between each act in the lobby. Flowers, Recital Gifts, T-Shirts & DVDs must be pre-ordered for guaranteed availability. Flowers will be available for pickup prior to the show’s start in the lobby.

    • Dancers will be dismissed to a parent/guardian with a matching wristband from the side door after our curtain call & group photo!

    • Tickets are assigned seating - $20* for the Side Sections and $25* for the Center Sections. Children under the age of 2 years old do not require a ticket unless they will be unable to sit on your lap. (*not including processing fees)

  • Costumes will be tried on as soon as they arrive! All costumes will be distributed to families with a fully paid account, starting April 29th.

  • Pre-Order this year’s recital t-shirt with the attached form! Our recital T-shirt will have this year’s recital logo and list of all participating student’s names on the back! Show your recital spirit and wear it during the recital weekend! These are perfect for covering up your costume while sitting in the audience! T-shirts must be ordered by April 20th!

  • Pre-order a recital bouquet with the attached form! These bouquets are perfect to give your dancer after a job well done! Flowers must be ordered no later than April 20th! All proceeds go to support our AKA Luminaries via the AKA Booster Club!

  • Tickets go on sale on April 5th for $20-$25 each! Tickets are first come, first served. For out of town family members, we will be hosting a livestream event at $15 per link. All tickets will have a small processing fee.

  • Pictures will for the most part be held on the same day as your regularly scheduled class. (Saturday classes have been moved to Tuesday/Thursday Evening). No classes on Monday-Friday this week. Students are expected to arrive in their full recital attire, including altered costume, tights, shoes, hair, makeup and accessories. Picture week schedule will be released in March - please contact us with any potential schedule issues. Please see the picture order form for more information. Picture week is April 29th-May 3rd, 2024.

  • Cherish your recital memories with a video of this year’s recital! Recital videos will be available for pre-order in March. Absolutely no video recording of any kind is allowed during the recital!

  • The dress rehearsal at St. Cloud High School is MANDATORY for all students. This is the one and only chance for them to practice and perform on stage before the big day! Students need to attend in full costume, hair & makeup. This is the only time you are permitted to record.
